No trains on December 11 for Echuca V/Line services

By Riverine Herald

V/LINE passengers on the Echuca line are being warned to expect delays tomorrow as Rail Tram and Bus Union (RTBU) members, employed by V/Line, take industrial action.

As a result no trains will run on the Bendigo, Swan Hill and Echuca lines for the entire day, with trains replaced by a mix of express and stopping all stations coach services.

V/Line has advised passengers to plan ahead and allow up to an extra 60 minutes for their journey.

Freight trains managed by private operators and other services will still run during planned industrial action so the community is reminded to always obey warning signs at level crossings and stay safe around trains.

The Echuca, Bendigo and Swan Hill lines are the first in statewide industrial action which will take place across the regional train network on the Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines, Gippsland line, Shepparton and Albury lines and the Geelong and Warrnambool lines.
