MORE than 80 people attended a networking dinner at Moama Bowling Club hosted by the Echuca-Moama Rotary Club last week.
The event aimed to get conversation flowing among professionals and realign Rotary with local business.
Guest speaker for the night was Coliban Water chief executive Jeff Rigby, who spoke about the corporate and community aspects of the organisation.
Rotary’s Mike Stansbury said the event was a huge success and many were pleasantly surprised by Mr Rigby’s speech.
‘‘Jeff presented a detailed but entertaining speech about what Coliban Water do and where they aim to be,’’ he said.
‘‘There was plenty of discussion about climate change and how it will affect our town’s water supply into the future.’’
Mr Stansbury said the Rotary Club recruited two new members on the night and was hopeful of more in coming weeks.
‘‘Two new members and prospects of more is a great return for the event,’’ he said.
‘‘We plan to do another one before the end of the financial year with the aim of continuing the conversation between businesses and recruiting more Rotary members.’’
